HAPPY MUNDAY!

Happy Munday!! YOU MADE IT!

Who says, Mondays have to mundane! Yes, it’s the start of a new work week…new challenges, new goals, new YOU! It’s sometimes hard to start anything ‘new,’ but rest assured, there are ways to make the best out of every situation. However, as you do, don’t forget YOU in the process.

Taking the time to pamper ourselves is very important. It makes us feel better and empower us – whether we see the benefits or not.

Hell no, I’m not a psychologist or psychiatrist or any type of “mind therapist” (no offense to my friends because I have confided in many of these professionals), but I have learned to love ME! I’m no good to others if I’m not good to myself.

TED (Technology, Entertainment, and Design) published a very interesting article “5 Ways to Build Lasting Self-Esteem.”

  1. Use positive affirmations correctly. ...

  2. Identify your competencies and develop them. ...

  3. Learn to accept compliments. ...

  4. Eliminate self-criticism and introduce self-compassion. ...

  5. Affirm your real worth.

All of these tools are forms of self-care. When you take care of yourself and are not stressed, you are better able to conquer the world. (Well, maybe not the world, but you get what I mean).

Self-care comes in a variety of forms. For me, one of the most important is to always look your best for yourself. If you missed this month’s Skinzational Saturdays, I demonstrated a quick “5-Minute Makeup” technique that’s sure to make you feel as glamourous as you already are! Here are my steps…

  1. Undereye Corrector…use under and around your eyes. It immediately makes you look younger, more awake, and like you have it all together! This is like THE HOLY GRAIL for eyes!!

  2. TimeWise® Matte 3D Foundation**…goes beyond seamless coverage – it delivers ageless beauty. The formula gives you a flawless, younger-looking complexion with a foundation that feels weightless on skin and looks natural all day long. A little goes a long way, especially for those of us who do not ‘glam’ out every day.

  3. Bold Lip Color…whether it’s lipstick or gloss…this will make you look pulled together and awake. I tend to use ‘Soft Nude’…but whatever floats your boat – GO FOR IT!

  4. Cheek Colormore important than you think but used on a smaller area than you might be used to! Just from the front corner of your cheekbone to your hairline, apply and blend back towards your hair. It does not take much…you can even skip this step entirely!

  5. Lash Intensity Mascara...will let you skip the need for eye shadow, even omit your liner! A couple of swipes of mascara and you're ready to hit the streets! It's more important now more than ever to accentuate those eyes in the era of the masks!

If you have an extra 5 seconds, use some Volumizing Brow Tint - Again, super-fast! It's like mascara for your brows!

I will post a video later in the week to show you how it’s done.

Before buying any facial skincare or makeup products, it is always better to try them. I will gladly provide available samples, just contact me at motthreads@gmail.com. Please subscribe to my blog for more self-care tips and tricks and announcements about Skinzational Saturdays!
